Maya Janes Coles

Maya Jane Coles is a British-Japanese producer, DJ, songwriter and engineer born in London. She began producing as a teenager, initially through hip-hop and trip-hop before moving towards underground house and releasing her first records in the late 2000s. What They Say became one of the turning points in a career that later expanded through albums including Comfort, Take Flight and Night Creature. Under the Nocturnal Sunshine alias she explores a darker, bass-heavy register. Alongside producing and mixing her own music, she has delivered remixes for artists from very different backgrounds and maintains an international career as a DJ.
