Purple Disco Machine

Purple Disco Machine is the alias of German producer and DJ Tino Piontek, born in Dresden. His sound starts from house and nu-disco, with a constant reference to funk, boogie and the dance music of the 1970s and 1980s, shaped through contemporary production with a strong focus on groove.

Across his career he has released tracks including “Dished”, “Hypnotized” and “In The Dark”, alongside remixes for major artists. In 2023 he won the Grammy for Best Remixed Recording for his version of Lizzo’s “About Damn Time”, and in 2024 released “Paradise”, an album that broadened his palette into synth-pop, Italo disco and electro-funk without leaving the dancefloor behind.
