The fastest route into Roe Deers's latest activity on AT-DJ.
Roe Deers is the alias of Lithuanian producer and DJ Liudas Lazauskas, a regular figure in Vilnius nightlife for more than a decade. He began working under this name in 2014 and developed an identity spanning disco, italo, house, acid and club electronics, with a particular taste for rough textures, edits and production that avoids an overly polished finish.
His trajectory is closely tied to Opium Club and the network of artists that grew around Lithuania's scene in the mid-2010s. From there he expanded his catalogue to international labels including Omnidisc, Nein Records and Throne Of Blood, while also releasing music through independent platforms in different countries. That path helped place Roe Deers within a European circuit where mutant disco, EBM, house and post-punk sounds could coexist on the same dancefloor.
Over the years he has alternated club EPs with a long-running series of edits and remixes. Among his recent work is Landscape EP, released in 2024, where acid, disco and italo meet a more open, narrative production style. He has also continued developing his edits series, which reached EDITS VOL. 10 in 2026 and remains an important part of his identity as both selector and producer.
In 2025 he released a particularly ambitious project with the Midsummer Vilnius Festival Orchestra. The recording brings together Roe Deers material reinterpreted with orchestral arrangements by Jievaras Jasinskis under the direction of Modestas Pitrėnas. The result connects his electronic language with a much broader concert format and reveals a different side of an artist more commonly associated with clubs and late-night sessions.
His catalogue includes collaborations, remixes and work on labels such as Omnidisc, Nein Records and Throne Of Blood, alongside self-releases and special projects published through his own Bandcamp. In the booth he keeps the selection wide: italo and disco can lead into acid house, electro or slower, stranger electronics, with sets shaped more by the character of each track than by a fixed genre label.
Roe Deers therefore occupies a fairly distinctive place within Lithuanian electronic music. His trajectory combines local club culture, an international label network, original production, edits and large-format projects without losing the dancefloor connection that has defined the project from the beginning.
