Yaeji

Yaeji is the project of Korean-American producer, DJ, vocalist and visual artist Kathy Yaeji Lee. Born in Queens, she spent parts of her childhood and teenage years between Atlanta, Seoul and other parts of Asia before returning to the United States. Her music combines house, experimental electronics, bass, hip-hop and pop with vocals in both English and Korean, reaching a wider audience through her two 2017 EPs and tracks including Raingurl and Drink I'm Sippin On. After the 2020 mixtape WHAT WE DREW 우리가 그려왔던, she released her debut album With A Hammer on XL Recordings in 2023. Her recent work continues to connect club production, songwriting and a distinct visual practice, with collaborations expanding that language while retaining the intimate character of her music.
