4AM KRU brings its live jungle-rave show to Melkweg

4AM KRU will bring a live show built around jungle, breakbeats and the energy of early-1990s British rave to OZ. Howie and Stu have developed a format with a degree of physical performance unusual for electronic shows based primarily on playback, using live execution to reconstruct the force of a rave sound system in real time. The ADE date places that approach in a relatively close room, strengthening the connection between stage and floor. The repertoire is not a literal historical recreation; it uses the codes of early jungle and hardcore to create a current, fast and deliberately sweat-heavy performance.
