Mark Reeve and Fab Massimo meet at Cabaret Aléatoire

Mark Reeve and Fab Massimo have both found a home in Berlin's club culture, but they make different kinds of records. Reeve has spent more than two decades balancing tough techno with melodic detail, releasing music on Drumcode, Terminal M and Cocoon. Massimo approaches the dancefloor from the groove first, moving between house and techno with basslines that are hard to ignore. On 20 November the Agoya collective invites both artists to Cabaret Aléatoire in Marseille, where Bonïpso, Brookesia, John A. Marr and Hïuge also feature. Rather than a bill built around a single sound, the night brings together musicians who share an interest in rhythm while approaching it from different directions. Music runs from 11pm to 5am. It is precisely those contrasts, from Reeve's more forceful passages to Massimo's supple grooves, that give this date its personality.
