Daria Kolosova & Dax J with Sole Dosi at Gate Milano

Daria Kolosova and Dax J meet on the Gate Milano programme on 5 March, with Sole Dosi opening the night. Both headliners work at the energetic end of contemporary techno, yet their musical backgrounds offer different ways into that intensity. Kolosova draws on breakbeat, electro and jungle as well as direct four-to-the-floor rhythms, while Dax J has built a raw, forceful identity through his own productions and his Monnom Black imprint. Those contrasting references should give the programme more range than a simple genre label suggests. The event takes place at the venue on Via Valtellina, running from 23:00 to 05:00. Sole Dosi's opening slot is also part of the story: an established international bill becomes a point of contact with the artists who work closer to Milan's regular club community. The music, rather than an elaborate stage production, is the central draw.
