DJ Krush returns to Amsterdam with his live world of beats and abstraction

DJ Krush returns to Amsterdam with a live performance spanning more than three decades of beat-based production, sampling and dense atmosphere. His path from the early 1990s and the Mo’ Wax environment made him central to understanding how instrumental hip-hop, turntablism and abstract electronics could share a language without being subordinate to conventional song structure. At Melkweg he will draw from different periods, including the post-Saisei era, in a format where texture and space carry as much weight as rhythm. OZ should favour close listening to detail, silence and layered sound that can lose depth on larger stages.
