EXAEQUA: Cabale, Derive, Flore, rRoxymore and HoneyDrip in Lyon

EXAEQUA returns to Le Sucre on Saturday 14 November with a programme that connects DJ sets to live audiovisual performance. Cabale appears with a live A/V show, while Derive, Flore, rRoxymore and HoneyDrip bring their own musical choices to the night. Flore is an important figure in Lyon's bass-music culture and runs the POLAAR label, moving between acid house, techno and rhythms influenced by Afro-Caribbean sounds. Her interest in visual collaborations offers a fitting connection to an event where images and music share the programme. The artists come from different parts of electronic dance culture, making the contrasts between their sets as important as any common stylistic thread. In the intimate setting of Le Sucre, those musical ideas can develop through direct contact with the people dancing.
