EXAEQUA at Le Sucre: Freja, MZA, Maggy Smiss, Whitemary and Lavanda

EXAEQUA takes over Le Sucre in Lyon on Friday 13 November with Freja, MZA, Maggy Smiss, Whitemary and Lavanda on the bill. The programme draws together several voices in French electronic music rather than building everything around one visiting superstar. Maggy Smiss has a longstanding connection to the city's club community through her former residency at Ninkasi Gerland and her association with Happiness Therapy. Her selections can bring house and italo disco into conversation with more recent club sounds. The other artists contribute their own musical viewpoints, giving the audience room to discover different rhythms during the evening. This kind of local collaboration matters because it creates space for DJs and dancers to meet across familiar scenes. The focus is on the music and the shared experience of the floor.
