FLY: sim0ne en Sub Club Glasgow

FLY brings sim0ne back to Glasgow's Sub Club on Thursday 17 December. The Scottish DJ and producer has been building a growing following through energetic selections that move between contemporary house and techno. A basement booking provides a different context from the larger events associated with FLY, giving the artist a direct relationship with the dancefloor on Jamaica Street. Sub Club has been part of the city's electronic music history for decades, and gatherings like this connect that legacy to newer musical voices. The focus is on the way records are selected and mixed in a close room, rather than on the scale of an elaborate stage. FLY's ongoing work between Glasgow and Edinburgh also gives the date a wider regional significance: two cities with active club scenes remain linked through the people who organise and follow this music.
