Function 30: Function b2b Nastia Reigel at BASEMENT

BASEMENT marks thirty years of Function, the New York techno producer Dave Sumner, on Saturday 21 November. He shares a headline back-to-back set with Nastia Reigel, whose recent work has also been closely associated with his Infrastructure New York label. NEUX, a KHIDI resident, and Juana complete the main-room programme. The Studio room takes another direction with Cormac, x3butterfly and Will Automagic, bringing disco, house and wider club influences into the building. Function's career spans early New York rave culture, Sandwell District and records for Ostgut Ton, making the anniversary a substantial part of underground techno history. BASEMENT lists a 10.30pm start at its Maspeth location. This two-room programme provides a real musical contrast rather than a one-dimensional celebration.
