Herrensauna: MCMLXXXV, Salome, Lord Asa and Dee Diggs

Herrensauna takes over both rooms at BASEMENT in Queens on Saturday 31 October, bringing a Berlin collective into conversation with New York's underground. MCMLXXXV, one of Herrensauna's key figures, leads the main room alongside Salome and Lord Asa. His sets can move from relentless rhythms into unexpected psychedelic territory, while Salome brings a fierce modern electro sensibility. Studio offers a contrasting programme with CEM, Dee Diggs and Sevyn Love. The official announcement gives a 10.30pm opening and names the performers in their respective rooms. This is more than an international guest booking: the collective's identity and the relationships between its residents and local artists shape the entire building. The Halloween setting adds another layer to a dancefloor experience connected to queer underground club culture rather than conventional festival spectacle.
