KrackFree Soundsystem: ten years in the bass underground

KrackFree Soundsystem brings its tenth-anniversary celebration to Melkweg on 27 November, marking a decade of hands-on work with sound. The Eindhoven collective designs and builds its own speaker stacks, refining the way deep frequencies can be reproduced while remaining close to the traditions of sound-system culture. Gorgon Sound, Chinese Daughter, Mr Zebre with Nia Songbird, and Rider Shafique are on the line-up for the OZ room, starting at 23:59. What makes the gathering distinctive is that the audio system is not simply equipment hired for an event. It has become part of the collective's identity and the way the music is shared. The programme brings DJs and vocalists into contact with that physical setup and with the people who have followed the project. Ten years are celebrated through music, craftsmanship and the community around both.
