MARSHALL JEFFERSON & FRIENDS — The Chicago Connection

Amsterdam will reconnect with the city where house music found its unmistakable pulse. Marshall Jefferson comes to Blend XL as Amsterdam Dance Event celebrates its thirtieth anniversary, bringing a piece of Chicago's dancefloor history into the centre of the Dutch capital. Joined by Joe Smooth, Hugo H., Mike Anderson, First Lady and DJ Deliver, Jefferson will place the spotlight on the records, grooves and musical ideas that continue to inspire contemporary DJs. The Wednesday afternoon gathering will move through soulful selections, jackin rhythms and the unmistakable energy of classic Chicago house. Rather than treating those formative years as a museum piece, The Chicago Connection will let their influence speak through the music itself, linking the people who built the sound with those dancing to it today.
