Modestep brings its dubstep live show to Gate Milano

Modestep changes Gate Milano’s usual format with a live show in the Main Room. The London project started as a band in 2010 and quickly found a crossover between dubstep, festival electronics and song structures; after the other members left, Josh Friend continued under the name as a solo project. The Milan date is presented as a concert rather than a club night, broadening the venue’s electronic programme beyond its weekend techno focus. For listeners who followed British dubstep as it moved towards much larger audiences in the early 2010s, it is also a relatively unusual chance to see Modestep in a live setting inside an Italian club.
