PLASMA: Clara Cuvé, William Luck, Ankkh & Arytmia

Plasma returns to Gate Milano on Monday 7 December with Clara Cuvé and William Luck, two artists who reach fast club music from different directions. Cuvé began studying classical piano as a child and has built a DJ style that draws on groovy techno alongside breakbeat, jungle and hardcore. Luck's background lies closer to bass music and hardstyle, influences that remain audible in his forceful schranz productions. They are joined by Ankkh, the duo behind the Plasma party, and Arytmia, who is due to open the event. The night falls on the eve of an Italian public holiday, giving a midweek gathering the atmosphere of a weekend date. More interesting than any simple hard-techno label is the contrast between the artists' musical training, production histories and ways of shaping a dancefloor.
