RARE Club: Wheats with Gau7t at Sub Club

House producer Wheats makes his Sub Club debut on Thursday 12 November as a guest of RARE Club. His music puts groove and bass at the front of the arrangement, an approach that makes particular sense in a small basement where the physical character of the sound is hard to separate from the experience of dancing. RARE resident Gau7t provides the other half of the line-up, linking this appearance to the people who sustain the party in Glasgow between international bookings. The combination is deliberately straightforward: two DJs, one established room and the opportunity for records to develop without a crowded timetable. Sub Club's long relationship with house music gives the night a fitting home. For those interested in the details of rhythmic selection rather than a huge stage production, this is a welcome kind of event.
