Ravoluson: Umwelt, Marco Bailey and RFA at Le Sucre

Ravoluson brings Umwelt, Marco Bailey and RFA to Le Sucre in Lyon on Saturday 21 November. Umwelt has been connected to underground electro and techno since the nineties rave era, building a discography shaped by dark machine rhythms and a cinematic sense of atmosphere. His labels Rave Or Die and New Flesh have provided space for that distinctive musical world. Marco Bailey arrives with a long history in international techno, while RFA adds another voice to the three-artist bill. The programme offers an opportunity to hear how different experiences of electronic music can meet in a club rather than on separate festival stages. What connects the artists is an interest in the physical relationship between sound and dancers. The contrasts between their sets are as important as the shared history of techno that runs through the night.
