Thylacine brings the world of Roads Vol. 3 to Toulouse

Thylacine has never needed a conventional studio to make electronic music. William Rezé has recorded while travelling on the Trans-Siberian Railway, explored the Andes and the Faroe Islands, and even spent time learning the Turkish bağlama. Those journeys have shaped a sound where electronic rhythms sit alongside melodies that seem to carry something of the places where they were conceived. His latest chapter, Roads Vol. 3, grew from three months on the road in a 1972 Airstream converted into a mobile studio. On 27 January he brings that material to Le Bikini near Toulouse. Doors open at 7:30pm, giving the evening a concert atmosphere quite different from the venue's late-night club programme. The interest in Thylacine lies partly in hearing how he turns travel, curiosity and unfamiliar instruments into electronic compositions that still feel remarkably personal.
