TRANCE ITALY: Anetha, Amygdala & Resa Utopica at Gate Milano

Anetha takes part in Trance Italy's return to Gate Milano on 29 January, bringing her expansive approach to dance music into the venue's Main Room. The French DJ and producer has connected techno with electro, trance and other fast-moving club styles for years, an interest also reflected in the releases surrounding her Mama told ya label. Amygdala and Resa Utopica complete the bill, bringing other musical perspectives to a programme designed for a proper club setting rather than a short festival appearance. From 23:00 until 05:00, the three artists have a shared dancefloor on which to develop their ideas and respond to changing energy in the room. The contrast between Anetha's recognisable musical world and the other selectors is part of the attraction. It is a useful reminder that trance influences can take many forms within contemporary electronic music.
