Tribology: Ben Sims, DVS1 and Adriana Lopez at Industrial Copera

Tribology brings Industrial Copera a format centred on Ben Sims and extended booth interaction. The official billing presents the British DJ in an all-night-long framework, with b2b passages involving DVS1 and Adriana Lopez: three artists strongly connected to groove-driven techno, long-form mixing and DJ culture as the main structure of a night. Sims has developed that approach for decades through his labels and sets, where techno, funk and rhythmic tools from different eras regularly meet. DVS1 brings a more stripped, physical reading of the form, while Adriana Lopez is closely associated with precise, hypnotic contemporary techno. The appeal here lies in the continuity between those approaches and in a format that leaves considerably more room for set-building than a conventional sequence of short individual slots.
