SESSION 25th Anniversary – Bart Skils & Drunken Kong

SESSION celebrates 25 years at WOMB with Bart Skils, Drunken Kong and long-time resident Tommy Wada leading the main room. Skils brings his connection to Drumcode's contemporary techno sound, while Drunken Kong illustrates how strongly Japan's producers have become established internationally. The remaining floors widen the anniversary programme: Q'HEY takes part in an area devoted to raw and hypnotic techno, and the CONNEXXION space moves towards melodic and progressive house. A limited anniversary T-shirt adds a tangible reminder of the occasion. What makes this night notable is the meeting of different generations of Tokyo's club community rather than a simple nostalgic return to the past.
