A State of Trance celebrates 25 years with Armin van Buuren at Drumsheds

A State of Trance began as a radio show and grew into a meeting place for people who found something deeply personal in trance music. Twenty-five years on, Armin van Buuren brings its anniversary celebration to Drumsheds London on 14 November. He will play his own set and also perform face to face with Giuseppe Ottaviani, one of the artists who helped shape trance's more driving, melodic sound. Ferry Corsten and Cosmic Gate bring another chapter of the genre's history, while Ben Hemsley, Funk Tribu and Amber Broos show how its energy continues to move into new directions. Three rooms will be in use throughout the former warehouse, with the festival running from 1pm to 10:30pm. It is a celebration of songs, shared memories and the unusual emotional pull that has kept trance audiences coming back to dancefloors for a quarter of a century.
