Cassius Club brings the spirit of French house to Amsterdam

Cassius helped give French house its own unmistakable personality at the end of the 1990s. Tracks such as Cassius 1999 and Feeling for You brought disco, funk and filtered house together in a way that still sounds playful today. After the loss of Philippe Zdar in 2019, BoomBass found a way to carry that musical history forward without treating it like a museum piece. Cassius Club is part of that story: a night where old friends and new voices share the decks. On 13 November the series reaches Amsterdam's Melkweg, with Cassius joined by Cinnaman, Kleo, Tatyana Jane and Tom Trago. The MAX room opens at 11:59pm. For a city with such a rich house history of its own, it is a fitting place to hear how French and Dutch club culture can meet through the records they love.
