Beyond the Veil

Altinbas delivers five tracks for Ostgut Ton, drawing on the sound and architecture of the Berlin club. The title track and ‘Charmin The Cosmic Snake’ develop tension through sustained synth lines, harmonic detail and firmly weighted percussion. ‘Entanglement’ and ‘Winter’ favour long transitions, while ‘Antichamber’ eases the rhythmic pressure for a more atmospheric ending. Across the EP, careful changes in texture matter as much as the kick drum, giving each arrangement room to unfold. Altinbas wrote, produced and mastered the record, with Misjah handling the vinyl cut.
