ABOUT THIS RELEASE
Artifakts (BC) collects eight Plastikman compositions that reveal the breadth of Richie Hawtin's minimalist explorations during the 1990s. Issued in November 1998, the album begins with Korridor and continues through Psyk, Packard and Hypokondriak before moving into Rekall, Skizofrenik and Are Friends Electric. A short Logikal Nonsence closes this digital sequence. Its extended pieces leave room for electronic patterns to develop gradually, inviting the listener to follow subtle shifts over time. The record belongs to a particularly distinctive period in the Plastikman catalogue, when Hawtin's restrained approach…
