Alarico

Alarico, the stage name of Alarico Zucchi, is an Italian DJ and producer associated with a new generation of fast, raw and groove-centred techno. His language draws on 1990s techno, hip-hop and a production approach strongly focused on rhythm, with tense percussion patterns, rough textures and structures that leave room for mixing. He is the founder of Katana Records and forms the Funk Assault project with Chlär, while also taking part in Primal Instinct. His catalogue has appeared on labels including Mutual Rytm and Klockworks, while his sets carry the same aesthetic into a highly physical, technical format built around continuous movement on the dancefloor.
