Daniel Avery

Daniel Avery is a British producer and DJ associated with Phantasy Sound and a strain of electronic music connecting techno, ambient and psychedelia. His career moved onto a new level with Drone Logic in 2013, an album that combined club pressure, acid textures and deep production.

Later work including Song for Alpha, Love + Light and Ultra Truth, as well as Illusion of Time with Alessandro Cortini, expanded that language towards more ambient and contemplative territory without breaking its relationship with techno.

Avery remains highly active as a DJ and has also developed a live format since 2022. In both settings he works with tension, repetition and layers of sound, moving between physical impact and more open spaces within the same narrative.
