DJ Nobu

DJ Nobu is a Japanese DJ, producer and promoter from Chiba. His trajectory began in punk, hardcore and warehouse scenes before moving towards techno, a path that can still be heard in the breadth of his selections and in a way of DJing that is not heavily constrained by labels. In 2001 he launched Future Terror, one of the most influential platforms in the Japanese underground, and later founded the Bitta label. His sets often move between hypnotic techno, ambient, industrial textures and more open-ended territory, with particular attention to space and the gradual development of the dancefloor. He has also released his own music and work by artists including Wata Igarashi, Konduku and Doltz.
