Deep Dish

Deep Dish is the duo formed by Ali “Dubfire” Shirazinia and Sharam Tayebi, two Iranian-American producers who helped define much of the progressive house and tech house sound of the 1990s and early 2000s. From Washington, D.C., they developed a language where groove, depth and melody could move comfortably between underground clubs and much larger stages.

Their trajectory includes the album “Junk Science”, a long list of remixes for artists including Madonna, Janet Jackson and Cher, and a sustained presence in the evolution of melodic house. After a period focused on the separate careers of Dubfire and Sharam, Deep Dish returned to joint performances and new activity while retaining the identity they built as a duo.
