Gisa

Gisa is a DJ, selector and co-founder of the Basque collective Suziri. Based around Bilbao, he belongs to a generation of artists who have developed their activity through small collectives, parties and local collaborations rather than a conventional discographic career. His work is particularly tied to the booth and to building community around electronic music.

Gisa's selection comes from broad, relatively undogmatic listening. His sets bring together Chicago house, italo disco, funk, electro and British breakbeat, with a clear interest in connecting music from different eras without losing dancefloor function. That mix lets him move between warm grooves, more elastic basslines and broken-rhythm passages without building the set around a single tempo or aesthetic.

Suziri is the main context for understanding his activity. As co-founder and active member of the collective, Gisa takes part in a structure that has helped organise events and sessions within the Basque scene. His role therefore goes beyond appearing on a line-up: it is connected to organising and sustaining a local club environment where selection and programming matter as much as original production.

In 2026 he appears at Dantz Point Sestao, an event developed in collaboration with Err.itmo, and later at the tenth edition of Dantz Festival in Donostia/San Sebastián. In both cases he shares the bill with artists from very different backgrounds, something that fits his own understanding of electronic music as a broad field rather than a closed specialism.
