Leaving Laurel

Leaving Laurel began in 2019 as a joint project by Pierce Fulton and Gordon Huntley, two North American producers connected by a particularly intimate approach to melodic electronic music. The name refers to Laurel Canyon, where they spent time and worked on music together, and that atmosphere became part of a sound built from restrained tempos, analogue textures and a pronounced emotional weight.

After Fulton’s death in 2021, Huntley continued the project while preserving its original language and developing it within the Anjunadeep environment. Leaving Laurel moves between ambient, downtempo and melodic house, with productions that favour space, fragility and slow development over immediate impact.
