Luciano

Luciano is one of the figures who connected Chile's early electronic scene with the minimal and house movements that developed in Europe in the early 2000s. Born in Switzerland and raised in Santiago de Chile, his musical background combined Latin American rhythms with the influence of Detroit techno. Alongside artists including Dandy Jack and Ricardo Villalobos, he helped shape a scene that grew from small parties into large events such as Santiago's Love Parade.

After returning to Europe, his blend of Latin percussion, house and minimal techno found a home in clubs and on labels including Perlon, Peacefrog, M_nus, Playhouse and Klang. In 2003 he founded Cadenza, a label whose catalogue would become an important part of house and techno over the following two decades.

Ibiza forms another central chapter in his trajectory. Cocoon, Circoloco, Vagabundos and his sessions at Ushuaïa helped define a particularly active period on the island. In recent years he has reactivated Cadenza, expanded his work with new producers and maintained a close relationship with Latin America through projects including Magik Garden.
