Grand Theft Auto VI gets a 34-track original album with Fred again.., PinkPantheress and Guy-Manuel

Rockstar Games has detailed Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, a 34-track collection of original music due to arrive on 19 November alongside the game. Created in partnership with Atlantic Records, the record is being positioned as a standalone soundtrack album rather than a compilation of licensed tracks pulled from the in-game radio.

The first six songs are already available, and the spread is deliberately wide: Yung Lean with Future and Metro Boomin, Travis Scott, a joint track from CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and Etienne de Crécy, plus Morgan Wallen, Rauw Alejandro and Keith Richards. The Travis Scott single RHYNO is produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, placing the Daft Punk co-founder inside one of the year’s biggest entertainment releases.

The electronic names are doing more than filling a genre slot

For electronic music, the most striking track among the first six is Sexy Magic. CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and Etienne de Crécy occupy very different corners of club and pop culture, from French house lineage to UK garage-derived songwriting and contemporary live electronic production. Putting them together on one original song says more about Rockstar’s approach than simply licensing a recognisable dance record for a radio station.

Guy-Manuel’s production credit is equally notable. Since Daft Punk ended in 2021, both members have appeared selectively outside the duo rather than flooding the market with solo work. A production role on a Travis Scott track attached to GTA VI is therefore significant on its own, even before the rest of the 34-song list is revealed.

Six tracks out now, 28 still under wraps

Rockstar has so far confirmed six of the 34 tracks: That’s It by Yung Lean featuring Future and Metro Boomin; RHYNO by Travis Scott; Sexy Magic by CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and Etienne de Crécy; Last Thing You Need by Morgan Wallen; Macacoa 2000 by Rauw Alejandro; and Bright Lights, Big City by Keith Richards.

That leaves most of the album unannounced. The label partnership and physical rollout make clear that Rockstar wants the project to exist beyond background music inside the game: the album will arrive digitally, on CD and in multiple vinyl editions, including limited variants sold through Rockstar and selected retailers.

GTA’s music history makes the format worth watching

Music has never been a decorative layer in Grand Theft Auto. The radio stations became part of the series’ identity because they mixed curation, fictional broadcasting, celebrity hosts and licensed catalogues into the texture of each city. GTA V expanded that approach over years of updates, while Rockstar’s CircoLoco Records project created a direct link between the company and contemporary club releases.

A 34-track album of newly commissioned songs changes the balance again. Instead of relying only on pre-existing records to define the game’s musical world, Rockstar is commissioning material that can circulate independently on streaming services, in DJ sets and through physical editions before many players have even experienced it in context.

The album is only one part of GTA VI’s music system

Rockstar has already said more information is coming about the game’s dynamic score and what it calls the “next evolution” of in-game radio. That distinction is important: The Album is not being presented as the entire musical package. It sits alongside an original score and a broader radio system that has yet to be explained.

With 28 album tracks, the dynamic score and the radio system still to be detailed, the six songs released this week are a first sample rather than a complete picture. For club audiences, Sexy Magic and Guy-Manuel’s production credit are the clearest early signals that electronic music will sit inside that wider musical design in more than one form.
