Time Warps

Time Warps marks Richie Hawtin's return to a distinctly dancefloor-focused EP format. Released on 27 November 2020, it introduced From Our Minds, an extension of his long-running Plus 8 label. The release contains two extended pieces: Time Warps, lasting more than eighteen minutes, and Time Stands Still, running for over sixteen. Their length allows musical ideas to unfold without the restrictions of a conventional short arrangement. Issued under Hawtin's own name, the record opens another chapter of his work with sustained electronic forms and a renewed focus on techno designed for the club environment.
