Chris Liebing

Chris Liebing is a German DJ and producer closely connected to the development of Frankfurt techno and the evolution of its more physical, functional side. His early professional years were rooted in the city's scene and clubs such as Omen before his path expanded to key venues including Tresor in Berlin. A period working at Eye-Q, the label associated with Sven Väth, was also part of that early career.

Across three decades, Liebing has built an identity around forceful techno, experimentation with new DJ tools and a highly technical approach to mixing. He is also behind CLR, a label that has become one of the central elements of his career and a platform for different generations of techno producers.

His discography has alternated directly club-focused material with more atmospheric and experimental work, including his period on Mute Records. In 2026 he opened another chapter with Evolver, an album connecting his accumulated experience in the booth and studio with the sound he continues to develop today.
