Javi Lago

Javi Lago is a Barcelona DJ and producer whose career is closely tied to the development of the city's underground techno scene. His sound centres on hypnotic, deep and functional techno, built around precise grooves, immersive atmospheres and a direct, dynamic mixing style.

Active since the early 2000s, Lago has played in some of Barcelona's most representative booths and shared line-ups with artists including Jeff Mills, Oscar Mulero, Gary Beck, Samuel L Session, Alan Fitzpatrick and Joel Mull.

In 2008 he founded Sintetics, the label through which he has developed much of his artistic vision while giving space to both emerging producers and established names. Over time, the Sintetics catalogue has grown beyond 50 releases and become a natural extension of Lago's sound and philosophy.

As a producer he has released music on labels including Planet Rhythm, Alleanza, Signal, Different Is Different, Symbolik, Time Trial and R3volution Records, alongside his own Sintetics. His work includes tracks such as Cube and Hexagon, as well as Isolation, his first full-length album.

His approach remains strongly connected to techno's roots: repetition, tension and gradual evolution take precedence over immediate impact. That continuity has kept him present for more than two decades as a regular name in Barcelona's independent techno circuit.
