The Blessed Madonna

The Blessed Madonna is the project of American DJ, producer and songwriter Marea Stamper. Born in Kentucky, she developed a decisive part of her career in Chicago, where she spent years connected to Smartbar and to a house tradition shaped by disco, soul, gospel and queer dancefloor history. She previously worked under the name The Black Madonna, adopting her current alias in 2020. Her catalogue combines original production, remixes and collaborations across different musical worlds, and in 2024 she released the large-scale album Godspeed with an extensive cast of guest vocalists. Her DJ sets remain broad in scope, connecting classic house, disco, techno and club-facing pop through a highly physical and narrative approach. In 2026 she continues an international schedule alongside new material around her wider artist project.
