RÜFÜS DU SOL have closed the Inhale/Exhale World Tour with figures that redraw the upper end of electronic music touring. According to Billboard Boxscore data reported this week, the 18-month run grossed $158 million and sold 1.7 million tickets, setting new records for an electronic artist in both revenue and attendance.

The tour ran from March 2025 to September 2026 across four continents, moving through amphitheatres, arenas and stadiums before finishing at Toronto’s Rogers Centre on 5 September. The numbers make it the first electronic tour in Boxscore history to pass $100 million — and then $150 million — while also becoming the first in the category to move more than one million tickets.

Electronic touring at stadium scale

The scale is easier to understand by looking at the venues rather than the headline total. RÜFÜS DU SOL’s 2026 North American schedule included stadium and major-arena dates at Wrigley Field, Fenway Park, Madison Square Garden, Rogers Centre and other rooms that historically sit closer to rock and pop touring than to electronic live acts. The trio also sold multiple nights in markets where dance artists have often relied on festivals for comparable audience size.

The trio's live format has allowed the Inhale/Exhale cycle to move well beyond club-sized rooms.

North America was the most lucrative part of the final stretch. Thirty-one reported dates generated roughly $71.8 million and sold 693,000 tickets. The Toronto finale alone drew a sold-out crowd of about 43,500 and grossed close to $5 million, a long distance from the 350-capacity Toronto club the group played in 2014.

The record is tied to a live-band model

RÜFÜS DU SOL occupy an unusual position inside electronic touring because the show is built around a performing trio rather than a DJ set. Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George and James Hunt translate the group’s records through vocals, drums, keyboards and electronics, which gives promoters a production that can sit comfortably on a festival main stage while also functioning as a conventional headline concert.

That distinction has mattered as the group has moved upward in venue size. Electronic artists can reach enormous festival audiences without necessarily building a ticketed headline business at the same scale. The Boxscore figures measure the latter: people buying tickets specifically for a RÜFÜS DU SOL bill across a long, geographically broad tour.

The tour took its name from Inhale / Exhale, the album released in 2024 through Rose Avenue and Warner Records.

How far ahead the tour moved the benchmark

The comparison with previous electronic tours is substantial. Boxscore reporting places ODESZA’s The Last Goodbye Tour at $56.3 million and 801,000 tickets between 2022 and 2024. RÜFÜS DU SOL have therefore pushed the recorded revenue benchmark far beyond the previous leader while more than doubling that tour’s reported ticket count.

The group’s career totals have also climbed sharply. The latest figures put RÜFÜS DU SOL at approximately $173.7 million in reported live revenue and 1.9 million tickets across their Boxscore history. Those totals are useful because they show how concentrated the acceleration has been: the bulk of the group’s measured touring business arrived during the Inhale/Exhale cycle.

An 18-month run with a clear endpoint

The headline tour ended on 5 September in Toronto after 54 dates in the United States and Canada, 21 in Europe, 13 in Oceania and 10 in Latin America. Festival appearances can complicate tour accounting, so the most reliable comparison remains the figures as reported to Billboard Boxscore rather than promotional claims based on total festival attendance.

 • Tour: Inhale/Exhale World Tour
 • Run: March 2025–September 2026
 • Reported gross: $158 million
 • Tickets sold: 1.7 million
 • Final headline show: Rogers Centre, Toronto, 5 September 2026

The record leaves a concrete new reference point for electronic live acts: a nine-figure headline tour built around original electronic music, with the audience scale sustained across multiple continents rather than concentrated in one festival season or residency.
