Ellen Allien

Ellen Allien is a German DJ, producer and label head whose career is deeply connected to Berlin club culture. She founded BPitch in 1999 after years of organising parties and working in radio, using the label both for her own releases and to support artists including Paul Kalkbrenner, Modeselektor and Apparat. Her catalogue moves through techno, electro, dark wave and more experimental territory, with albums such as Stadtkind and the Apparat collaboration Orchestra of Bubbles. She also runs UFO Inc. and the We Are Not Alone event series. In 2026 she released New Life, an emotionally charged rave album connecting minimal techno, dark wave and dancefloor euphoria, while continuing an extensive international DJ schedule.
