Interplanetary Criminal

Interplanetary Criminal is the alias of British DJ and producer Zachary Bruce, closely associated with Manchester and with the generation that has renewed UK garage, speed garage, 2-step, breakbeat and bassline since the late 2010s. His early releases moved between lo-fi house and breaks before increasingly reconnecting with the British garage tradition. In 2022 he co-produced Eliza Rose's B.O.T.A. (Baddest of Them All), which reached number one in both the UK and Ireland and dramatically expanded his audience. He also co-founded ATW Records with Main Phase and has released through labels including Sneaker Social Club, Kalahari Oyster Cult, Time Is Now and INSTINCT. His recent work remains closely tied to UK rave culture, moving between fast garage, jungle, breaks and house with a strongly dancefloor-focused production style.
