The Prodigy will return to Creamfields in 2027 as the first headliner announced for the festival’s 30th anniversary edition. The band will headline the APEX stage on Saturday 28 August, returning to Creamfields after 14 years.
Two anniversaries meet in Daresbury
The timing is unusually neat: 2027 marks 30 years of Creamfields and also three decades since The Fat of the Land. The festival runs from 26 to 29 August in Daresbury, and the first booking puts British rave history at the centre of the anniversary before the wider lineup is revealed.
A live act that still belongs in electronic festival history
The Prodigy’s relationship with rave culture predates the modern EDM festival circuit by decades. Their live show still sits in the overlap between electronic production, punk energy and a full-band setup, which makes the booking more than a nostalgia move for an anniversary programme.

The current live lineup retains Maxim and Liam Howlett, joined by long-standing members Leo Crabtree on drums and Rob Holliday on guitar. That format keeps the physical impact of the band intact while the production remains rooted in the breakbeat, rave and distorted electronic language that made them distinct in the first place.
The rest of the anniversary lineup is still open
Creamfields has not yet released the broader 2027 bill. Starting with The Prodigy gives the anniversary a clear British electronic reference point before the usual spread of house, techno, trance and festival-scale dance bookings arrives.
