NVST heads to Tresor Records with the five-track GODSPEED EP

Swiss producer and DJ NVST will release GODSPEED through Tresor Records on 23 October 2026. The five-track EP is her first full release for the Berlin label and lands after her appearance on Tresor’s Aeternum (Existenz) compilation earlier this year. One track, “Firewall”, is already available ahead of the full release.

Broken drums, acid movement and plenty of space

The tracklist runs through “Solid Baxter”, “Wide Spectrum”, “The Wind Became Thunder”, “Firewall” and the digital bonus “Firliner”. Tresor’s release notes point to hypnotic synth loops, spacious processing and breakbeat-led drums, with the second side pushing into faster acid patterns and a more regimented pulse. That combination sits comfortably with NVST’s habit of letting electro, techno, bass music and stranger rhythmic structures bleed into one another.

A first full statement for Tresor

There is a neat fit here without needing to force NVST into a heritage narrative. Tresor’s catalogue has always left room for records where Detroit references, electro and harder machine rhythms sit alongside more irregular ideas. GODSPEED uses that space rather than chasing a single contemporary techno template. The bass is low and insistent, but the percussion keeps slipping towards breaks; synth lines repeat long enough to become physical before another detail pulls the ear elsewhere.

“Firewall”, the advance track, runs for 6:59. The complete release will be available digitally and on 12-inch vinyl. The record was written and produced by NVST, mastered by Mike Grinser at Manmade Mastering, with artwork by Onlab. Tresor lists the vinyl at €11 and the digital edition at €5 or more through its Bandcamp page.

Five tracks, two sides of the same pressure

The sequencing suggests a record built for more than one point in a set. The opening material leans into buzzing bass and broken percussion, while the later tracks tighten the drums and bring the acid lines forward. “Firliner”, reserved as a digital bonus, stretches the palette across roughly seven and a half minutes. It links the EP’s looser rhythmic side with its more direct, trance-inducing drive.

For NVST, the release adds a substantial Tresor entry to a catalogue already comfortable with left turns. For the label, it is another reminder that its current output can draw on the language of early techno without treating it as museum material.
